Hackney’s Planning Service is expanding its Development Management function and is creating a new Team Leader position.  The successful candidate will be responsible for the signing-off of cases and pre-application advice, and managing a team of junior and senior staff, in addition to shaping Hackney’s environment, whether by dealing with transformational large Major planning applications or assisting the Development Management & Enforcement Manager in wider strategic improvements.  Working in an agile office environment and alongside friendly, dedicated staff, Hackney’s Planning Service promotes flexible working arrangements with its advanced ICT capabilities.   

An experienced Town Planner, you will have a Post Graduate qualification in Town Planning and membership of (or eligibility to apply for) RTPI along with experience of Section 106 negotiations.  You will have an analytical approach and excellent organisational skills and have exceptional communication skills – both oral and written.
