An opportunity has arisen to appoint a manager, on a permanent basis, into the position of Mechanical and gas services manager who will be responsible for the delivery and management of the service and maintenance of the following disciplines;

* Communal heating system to include plant rooms and properties associated with them.

* Communal ventilation to include the plant and properties.

* Boosted cold water, to include the plant and the cleaning and testing.

* Heat Meters, only the installation of.

* Dry Risers, to include the service and maintenance.

* Sprinkler systems, to include the service and maintenance.

You need to have a good knowledge of project and contract management as well as an in-depth knowledge and understanding of Gas, ventilation and fire safety equipment and the associated regulations, the relevant guidelines and legislation as well as practical experience delivering these diverse work streams involving both external and internal contractors. 

The candidate must have relevant Commercial Gas ACS qualifications, an understanding of L8 and at least 1 years minimum experience in contract and project manager. A qualification in project management would be desirable.   

You will be required to inform, advise, and respond to residents, as a group or on an  individual basis as well as liaise and negotiate with interested parties e.g. contractors, developers or professionals from other multidisciplinary areas. It is therefore essential that you have good communication skills, verbally as well as written and you also have a good knowledge and understanding of creating and making use of spreadsheets in order to aid the delivery of electrical work programmes and their associated budgets for monitoring purposes.
