We are looking for three Project Managers to join our Estate Regeneration Programme and Housing Supply Programme. As a Project Manager, you will be part of a team delivering one of the most complex and exciting development and regeneration briefs in the UK.

You will lead the delivery of a range of housing regeneration projects – at all stages, from inception to completion. You’ll be changing people’s lives for the better, ensuring that more families desperately in need have a genuinely affordable place to call home.

You’ll come to us with a track record of delivering exemplary housing development and regeneration schemes, as well as an understanding of housing, regeneration and planning issues. Previous experience of project management in a housing development, regeneration or construction environment is essential. You’ll also have a track record of successfully engaging with colleagues and residents – building positive and productive working relationships.

Hackney Council undertaking an ambitious programme of regeneration across a number of housing estates and sites across the borough. We aim to transform places by building new neighbourhoods with well-designed housing, streets and public spaces. The programme is building more than 3,000 new homes over the next 10 years and will deliver badly needed new council rented, shared ownership and outright sale homes across Hackney.

The Council’s Estate Regeneration Programme and Housing Supply Programme teams are leading the delivery of these homes at all stages – starting with setting the briefs for sites, selecting architects and the wider design teams, managing the design process and procuring contractors or developer partners.

Hackney is one of the UK’s highest performing local authorities, serving one of London’s best places to live and work. We have achieved a huge amount: our services, our schools, our public spaces are all amongst the very best. We have changed the reputation, not just of the Council, but of Hackney itself. Bringing jobs and investment into the borough, securing the legacy from the 2012 Games, and making this a place of which we can all be proud.

If you want to work in a place where you can represent our values so we achieve the best for our residents, please click on the apply button below.

When applying, there will be a number of questions relating to the post on the application form. It is essential that you complete the application questions, responding to each using examples of your skills, knowledge and experience. You are not required to submit a supporting statement or CV.

Closing date for applications: 01 April 2020

Interviews: 20/24 April 2020

We are also working towards our vision, which is to be a place for everyone; where residents and staff can be proud; a place that celebrates diversity and where everyone can feel valued, included and involved. In order to achieve this, we look for people who are: Proud; Ambitious; Pioneering; Open; Proactive; Inclusive.

Hackney Council works to eradicate discrimination on the basis of race, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, pregnancy and maternity, age and marital status. We also recognise that people can be disadvantaged by their social and economic circumstances, so we will also work to eliminate discrimination and disadvantage caused by social class. We also welcome those interested in flexible working. We particularly welcome applications from disabled people, as this group is currently under represented in our workforce.
