This is an exciting and challenging time for the team to extend its knowledge and skills and provide customers with an excellent service. It is also an ideal time for you to join us. We need people with good customer services skills who can demonstrate they will achieve performance targets while working accurately and effectively to meet a range of customer needs as part of the Property Sales team.
As a Property Sales Assistant, you will be responsible for providing proactive assistance and support whilst undertaking a number of key tasks associated with administering the Right to Buy scheme and marketing, selling and staircasing newly built as well as pre-existing properties. This work will include fully replying to pre-sale enquiries received from solicitors on behalf of the service area. The Property Sales Assistant will also be responsible for the co-ordination and collation of internal record keeping processes to ensure adequate monitoring, auditing and reporting mechanisms are in place.
As the first point of customer contact, the Property Sales Assistant will also provide excellent customer services and comprehensive information relating to the affordable and private home ownership sectors. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure collaborative working practices are effective for the smooth running of the Property Sales service.
You will be required to use your sound homeownership knowledge to liaise effectively with Right to Buy and other homeownership applicants and their solicitors to process sales applications and all statutory and contractual notices and correspondence associated with property sales initiatives methodically, with particular attention to detail, ensuring that statutory and contractual time limits are met.
As a member of the team you will also be responsible for processing requests for lease extensions ensuring that the landlord’s interest is best protected.
We are looking for people who can successfully promote the work done by Leasehold and Right to Buy Services. You will need to be numerate with highly developed communication skills and be able to work effectively with people of all levels across the organisation and within our diverse communities.
Our Leasehold & Right to Buy Services (LRTBS) is changing to enable the team to fully meet evolving customer needs including with regards to the delivery of 1,800 new leasehold homes across the borough. These homes include shared ownership, shared equity and new-build private leasehold sales.
