You will build relationships with SMEs and other internal and external stakeholders, helping them form an inclusive recruitment strategy that will improve diversity and inclusion in order to maximise any employment potential.

You will be involved in identifying job rich and growth sectors to broker employment opportunities for residents and with the support of the Programme Manager, you will manage key strategic relationships in order to deliver against the Council’s employment and opportunity objectives.

The following criteria are essential for this post:

– A solid understanding of the local labour market and the ability to develop business;

– Excellent communication, negotiation and analysis skills;

– Confidence, professionalism and pragmatism, including the ability to manage and prioritise your time and tasks effectively

Hackney is one of the UK’s highest performing local authorities, serving one of London’s best places to live and work. We have achieved a huge amount: our services, our schools, our public spaces are all amongst the very best. We have changed the reputation, not just of the Council, but of Hackney itself. Bringing jobs and investment into the borough, securing the legacy from the 2012 Games, and making this a place of which we can all be proud.
