Hackney Council is looking for someone who is highly organised to join our parking team on a one year fixed term contract. Managing parking is an important way we make Hackney greener, safer and cleaner so we are looking for the right person to help contribute to this.

As a Suspensions Officer, you will make sure any suspension applications are processed correctly and within our agreed timescales. You will take responsibility for continually improving our service performance to meet the varying demands of our customers, ensuring we get it right first time. 

You will need to have excellent communication skills as you will be dealing with queries from our diverse community of residents and businesses. You will need to respond clearly to emails and telephone requests and build close relationships with other Council departments. You will have the ability to investigate complex queries and provide a fair outcome to our customers. 

You will need basic financial management experience to be able to raise invoices, credit notes and issuing refunds. You should have an understanding of a variety of IT packages and be able to process new applications and record accurate details on our systems.

We need someone who has previous parking experience who enjoys being part of a team, yet is able to motivate themselves and prioritise their own workload within a pressurised environment.
