Our Leasehold & Right to Buy Services (LRTBS) is changing to enable the team to fully meet evolving customer needs including the delivery of 1,800 new leasehold homes across the borough. This is an exciting and challenging time for the team to extend its knowledge and skills and provide customers with an excellent service. It is also an ideal time for you to join us.

We are looking for well organised officers with sound financial and analytical skills, to ensure the accurate and timely billing of charges including service charges, major works, reserve fund and shared ownership rent whilst increasing customer satisfaction.

With housing in London under extreme pressure, billing accurately and maximising our income are important ways of improving services. We need people with a good eye for detail who can demonstrate they will achieve performance targets while working accurately and effectively. As one of our Leasehold Finance Officers, you will be responsible for a range of financial tasks including calculating service charges, major works and rent, undertaking statutory Section 20 consultation and the efficient maintenance of customer accounts and related databases.

On a day to day basis you will perform accurate calculations that comply with financial regulations. With good understanding of leasehold services and financial experience, you will contribute to service improvements and provide a high quality customer service to our residents.

You should have a leasehold or finance background with good customer focus and attention to detail. You will need good knowledge of relevant housing legislation and financial practices. To thrive in this role you will need a flexible approach and be able to work well under pressure.

As a Council, our most outstanding asset is our staff, who are highly dedicated to serving our residents and committed to our goals as an organisation.

If you want to work in a place where you can represent our values so we achieve the best for our residents, please click on the apply button below.

We operate a fair and open anonymous selection process. Therefore, we do not accept supporting statements or CV’s.

To proceed with your application, you will need to create an account and submit your application.

As part of the application process, you will need to complete a number of competency based questions. These questions allow you to demonstrate your suitability for the role and provide examples of your skills, knowledge and experience outlined in the job description.

We understand the benefits of using AI in the workplace. However, if you are thinking of using this tool to submit your application, we ask you to think about what value it will add. AI tools tend to lack the personal touch and authenticity we value in candidates. We encourage you to showcase your unique knowledge and skills using your own voice.

Closing date for applications: 03 September 2025 (22:59)

Interview and assessment date:  25/26 September 2025

We are also working towards our vision, which is to be a place for everyone; where residents and staff can be proud; a place that celebrates diversity and where everyone can feel valued, included and involved.
