Management Trainee Programme

What is a Management Trainee? 

  • A Management Trainee (MT) is a two-year programme which fast tracks you into management positions in a variety of departments in the council
  • MT’s gain experience and insight into a multitude of council services as well as gaining professional development opportunities to aid your journey toward becoming an effective leader. 
  • The two-year scheme provides management placements within multiple council service areas in addition to short term shadowing opportunities, a mentoring scheme and access to senior management meetings and 1-1s.
  • The scheme is split into 4 x 6 month placements.
