About the Role:

We are seeking a proactive and motivated Resourcing and Customer Service Assistant’s to join our exciting new team at Connect2Hackney. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about providing excellent service. You will play a pivotal role in building and maintaining a robust candidate database, supporting the recruitment process, and ensuring the flow of candidates between the agency supply chain and hiring managers.

The successful candidate will be employed by Connect2Hackney which is a Limited Liability Partnership (LLP) business owned by the London Borough of Hackney and Commercial Services Group Ltd, both have 50% ownership and the LLP will be offering different pay, pension and terms & conditions.

Key Duties:

  • Assist with onboarding processes, including application forms, referencing, safeguarding declarations, and contracts via the Connect2Hackney screening portal.
  • Build and maintain relationships with candidates, providing a positive experience both in person and over the phone.
  • Work closely with the Talent Partners and hiring managers to understand workforce needs and assist with candidate submissions and vacancy management.
  • Place adverts and actively source candidates through job boards, social media, internal databases, sector-specific job fairs, and referrals.
  • Review applications, screen candidates both over the phone and face-to-face, ensuring they are suitable for the roles.
  • Stay informed about the recruitment market, particularly in hard-to-fill and niche sectors, and look for opportunities to expand the candidate database.
  • Input candidate, vacancy, and worker information accurately into the Connect2Hackney systems.

What we need from you:

  • Previous administrative experience supporting teams
  • Strong IT skills, particularly with Word and Excel
  • Excellent communication skills across various platforms (phone, in person, written)
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver results
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Resourcing experience, as well as job advert writing would be a huge bonus
