Hackney is one of the UK’s highest performing local authorities, serving one of London’s best places to live and work. Within our diverse borough we serve a wide range of children and young people. We have a particular focus on supporting less advantaged families: Hackney figures in the 10% most deprived boroughs in England on a number of measures.

The post holders will support the Children and Education (C&E) Directorate to fulfil its improvement pledges, to “use data and contextual information to identify and enable strategies where significant groups of pupils are falling behind, or gaps are not closing.” and to … “enable and support colleagues to use data and have a single view of the child through system development. We will further develop and embed collaborative approaches across the system with schools and settings.”

Reporting to the Synergy System Manager, the successful candidates will provide teams with support to maintain and where required improve the quality of the data captured within the Synergy system. This will include the delivery of training to colleagues and partners that make use of Synergy. They will also help  senior managers through the provision of Synergy derived management information to guide better decision making.

Candidates selected for interview will demonstrate:

  • – Experience of using Access UK Ltd’s Synergy product (or equivalent?)
  • – Excellent analytical skills
  • – Ability to manage a complex range of tasks simultaneously, effectively prioritising and delivering on time to a high quality
  • – Excellent customer service skills with the ability to work with staff/customers at all levels
  • – Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills
  • – Proactive work ethic, with the ability to work on own initiative to produce results
