The Person

We are looking for team manager who has the ability to lead by example, with excellent social care practice and a commitment to a strengths-based approach that takes into account intersectionality and a commitment to anti-racism. You will understand the legal framework within which we work and be able to uphold and balance competing risks and demands, advocating for the rights of residents while supporting your team and wider department to thrive.

You will be able to work in partnership with transparency and thoughtfulness, supporting innovations and solutions that help our residents to lead a life of their choice. You will have a commitment to empowering and enabling your staff to undertake excellent social care practice, supporting them with complexities in practice. An understanding of the current financial climate is essential.

Importantly, you will manage and be supported to lead a high performing team, focusing on quality and performance, staff wellbeing and development, and a commitment to working as ‘one council’ to achieve the best outcomes for our residents.
