A better Hackney for everyone. A greater opportunity for you.
Diverse, vibrant, creative, exciting and adaptable. This is Hackney. Capturing the very best of London in seven square miles, ours is an incredible borough. With strong communities and residents from many backgrounds, we are proud to be a welcoming place for everyone. We celebrate our diversity and work relentlessly to be an actively anti-racist borough, where everyone feels a strong sense of belonging.
Over the past 20 years, we have built a reputation for excellence, innovation, ambition and delivering first class services for our residents. We’re leading the way in the fight for equity in Hackney. It is a great time to be part of Hackney as there is still much work to be done. With our ‘Working Together for a Better Hackney’ strategy, we have a large-scale transformation and improvement plan – and big ambitions for the people who live and work here. Working closely with our communities and our partners, we will tackle the challenges we face together. And we will do our utmost to make a better Hackney for everyone.
Our vision is to be a place for everyone. A place that celebrates diversity, and where residents and staff can feel proud, valued, included and involved. To help us achieve this, we look for people who share our values. People who are Inclusive, Pioneering, Proactive, Open, Ambitious and Proud.
As a Chief Officer, you will provide effective and inclusive leadership, contributing to the continuous improvement of digital transformation activity for technical solutions across the Council. With an overall responsibility for a £30 million budget, you will lead a range of functions and services to provide continuous improvement and actively promote the opportunities that technology presents for transformation of the organisation and the services provided for Hackney residents.
To apply, you will need strong and proven experience of successfully leading and aligning the development and delivery for all technical services and products. This includes the ability to manage a large team within a complex organisation, working across organisational boundaries, and aligning stakeholders and activities to achieve Corporate objectives. You will be able to lead on organisational improvement, with a sound track record of setting direction and inspiring teams to take the vision forward.
If you have the relevant skills, experience and knowledge, we look forward to receiving your application.
