An exciting opportunity is available within the Corporate Building Maintenance & Compliance Team for the role of Health & Safety Compliance Officer.

Corporate Building Maintenance & Compliance is a dynamic multifaceted team of four separate teams, including Compliance, Technical Services (multidisciplinary), Contract Management and Cost Consultancy. Your role within this team will be to support the Corporate Maintenance & Compliance Manager in performing a collaborative function across the four teams. This is a fulfilling and challenging role, especially as it promises an opportunity to learn new skills and information on a diverse number of multidisciplinary areas. This does not include housing properties.

In this role, you will apply your knowledge of planned and reactive maintenance and statutory compliance to coordinate, lead and manage the support aspects of the built environment. You will provide a range of specialist and generalist administrative assistance to support effective service delivery and work closely with a variety of stakeholders throughout the Council.

The successful candidate will hold, or will be currently working towards, a NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) and IOSH Membership – evidence of this will be required in the shortlisting process. You will also be required to travel across the borough to various properties and conduct on-site compliance audits.

An Enhanced DBS check is required for this role.
