Hackney is one of Britain’s fastest-changing and exciting boroughs.  Our Development Management & Enforcement team provides a number of vital services within the Borough and promotes a culture of positive planning across the Council to maximise the benefits for our residents and businesses. 

We are looking to further strengthen our existing teams to maintain a high performing, high morale environment within the Planning Service. A number of opportunities across the teams are available, all vital to the successful operation of the DM and Enforcement function.  

This is an excellent opportunity for a Planning Officer who is looking for the next step in their career.  You will be required to work to tight deadlines and service level agreements to ensure we offer an efficient and effective service to our customers.  Responsible for handling a full range of planning applications, the successful candidate will offer pre-application advice, process planning applications and appeals, as well as negotiate with developers and other third parties.

You must have a relevant qualification in Town Planning (or equivalent) which supports membership of, eligibility for the Royal Town Planning Institute.
