As Social Care Finance Officer, you will be required to make payments for Adult Social Care services on time and in accordance with payment processes and Council standing orders. Within your role, you will carry out administrative and financial tasks combined with monitoring reviews of service users expenditure in accordance with Direct Payment procedures. Reconciling payment cycles for the financial management system is required, combined with processing all home care payments and other adhoc social care payments.

Previous experience of accounting procedure in local authority or equivalent is required, as well as a general knowledge of the Adult Social Care and the Direct Payment Scheme. Experience and knowledge of operating financial administrative systems is needed, combined with the ability to analyse and interpret financial and non-financial information. Experience and knowledge in using Mosaic and Cedar will be an advantage.
