We are looking for an experienced senior commissioner to join us to develop and deliver the City and Hackney Public Health commissioning strategy. You will work closely with the Director of Public Health and Head of Strategic Commissioning (for Public Health) to develop and implement cross-cutting plans to improve the health and wellbeing of local communities, through the delivery of high quality services. You will be responsible for managing the commissioning of Public Health services from start to finish, working collaboratively with Public Health Consultants and Specialists/Practitioners as well as providing leadership to procurement and contract management specialists.
Successful candidates will have leadership and technical expertise across the entire commissioning & procurement cycle, a good knowledge of public health, and an ability to communicate and work effectively in partnership. You will be familiar with NHS, local authority, primary care and voluntary sector provisions relating to the commissioning and delivery of services and you will have experience leading and managing teams within a flexible work environment along with demonstrated experience in supporting staff to perform at their best, and to develop their potential.
